We contributed more than £20,000 to help fund the construction of a brand new play park for youngsters in Woolton Hill, near Newbury.
It was officially opened by pupils from Woolton Hill Junior School and St Thomas’s Infant School which is next to the recreation ground where the party cut the ribbon.
The total cost was £60,000 and our Thames Valley region chipped in more than a third thanks to the £23,053 contribution made as part of the development of Royal Chase, an exclusive collection of homes near Newbury.
Old equipment has been replaced by the new play park which includes a roundabout and large and small climbing frames featuring a fireman’s pole, slides and rope walks.
The project was overseen by parish councillors who designed it for all ages. There are also roll-over bars, a wooden train and tunnel, plus monkey bars and more.
Linden Homes Thames Valley managing director Peter Carpinelli said: “The parish council has done a fantastic job creating this play park and the kids will have great fun. It’s wonderful to see the funds we put into the community being used so well.”
All of our homes come with Smart Meters. These have the capacity to automatically send readings to your energy provider.
Every piece of timber in your house is sustainably sourced timber. This means that new trees are planted to replace those cut down.
