Budding Pietersens and Broads are being given a sporting chance to develop their passion for cricket with help from our continued sponsorship.
Linden Homes Midlands has stumped up a sixth year of funding for the youth section of Oundle Town Cricket Club where since 2006 hundreds of cricket shirts have been paid for.
As a long-standing supporter of the club, which was established in 1826, Linden Homes has helped to further the playing opportunities for many of the youngsters, and area sales manager Warren O’Callaghan visited a training session to see the players in action.
He said: “We are delighted to be able to offer this continued sponsorship to Oundle Town Cricket Club – not only in support of the local community, but to encourage and recognise young sporting talent and potential stars of the future.
“The support from a relatively small town like Oundle is amazing – which makes it even more of a pleasure for Linden Homes to be involved.”
The club currently sees around 150 five to nine-year-olds on a weekly basis for training, added to the 100 older children aged 11-17 who play in the seven junior league teams.
Club chairman Justin Jeffrey said: “We are thrilled to have continued generous support from Linden Homes which will allow the club to carry on its great work.”
