Helping Plymouth young entrepreneurs build their skills

Support: (l-r) budding business people with Michael Stewart and Linden Homes’ Brian Deacon

Support: (l-r) budding business people with Michael Stewart and Linden Homes’ Brian Deacon

We’re helping budding young entrepreneurs in our South West region by continuing our support for Young Enterprise Plymouth.

Part of the national framework Young Enterprise UK, the business education charity provides programmes for children and young people from 7-25 years old, through Plymouth Area secondary schools and with the support of local volunteer business advisers.

A Christmas Trade Fair offered an exciting opportunity for members of Young Enterprise Plymouth to sell seasonal arts and craft goods and support for the charity, Hugs from Henry, at the Devonport Guildhall.

Michael Stewart chairs an enthusiastic board of volunteers at Young Enterprise Plymouth. He said: “The Young Enterprise project is really important as it gives upwards of 150 young people each year a taste of what it’s like to set up and run their own businesses.

“We are very grateful to Linden Homes for its support again this year, helping to inspire and motivate the entrepreneurs of the future.”

Brian Deacon, sales and marketing director for Linden Homes South West, said: “I was pleased to see the enthusiasm and commitment shown by the teams and it was amazing to see the work that they had put into their stands and the products that they were selling.”
