Gardening: Selsey Open Gardens Day draws hundreds of visitors every year along the public trail
Members of the public were invited to enjoy a variety of beautiful, private gardens during the annual Selsey Open Gardens Day.
Our Guildford region gave its support to the event which raises funds for St Wilfrid’s Hospice – a local charity-funded hospice in Chichester – and for the Alzheimer’s Society, the UK’s leading support and research charity for people with dementia.
The event, on June 22nd, involved a trail through the stunning range of gardens in the town, from award-winning organic vegetable gardens to beautiful beach-side plots featuring wildflowers and rose gardens. Plants and refreshments were sold throughout the day.
Linden Homes Guildford sales and marketing director Natalie Flint said: “We were delighted to support an event in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society and St Wilfrid’s Hospice.
“Many of our residents at Graylingwell Park already support St Wilfrid’s Hospice as it is so nearby and Alzheimer’s is a devastating condition that affects so many people.”
