With Tour de France fever gripping the country, our North region played its own part in the famous sporting institution and raising the profile of Yorkshire.
We erected special signs – in both English and French – to encourage the riders as the peloton swept past our Greenacre Paddock development on Boroughbridge Road in York on Sunday July 6th.
As well as sending good luck wishes to those taking part, it provided the ideal opportunity to put Yorkshire in the spotlight.
Linden Homes North construction manager Kevin Hoyland said: “We were all very excited to be playing a small part in such a major event and coup for the region. The event itself was amazing and will continue to attract interest over the coming weeks.
“We were delighted we had the chance to support the race and also to see how Yorkshire was put in the spotlight as a fantastic place for home hunters to put down their roots.”
Our parent company, Galliford Try, is also no stranger to high profile sporting events as it played a leading role in the Centre Court roof project at Wimbledon and work on the 2012 Olympic village.
Linden Homes has contributed over £1.2 million to health care services in the UK since 2010.
Linden Homes has won awards for Best Sustainable Developer four years in a row.
