In an effort to promote sustainable transport, we have established a Travel Starter Pack for all residents at our new Cholsey Meadows development in Cholsey, Oxfordshire.
The Travel Starter Pack provides detailed information on a range of sustainable transport options accessing the development, including local walking trails, cycle paths and dedicated weather-proof parking facilities for bicycles, information on trains from Cholsey railway station including train frequency and ticket pricing, as well as a bus map and information, and details on the Oxfordshire Car Share scheme.
As well as encouraging people to consider their environmental impact and reduce carbon emissions by avoiding single occupancy vehicle (SOV) usage, the information pack provides details on the health and wellbeing benefits of leading an active lifestyle as well as the substantial cost savings available from reduced fuel consumption.
In addition, residents are also offered a free consultation with our travel plan coordinator to receive expert advice on their regular trips, such as to work, schools and the local shops.
Nick Ashfield, Linden Homes Chiltern’s regional technical manager, said: “The Travel Starter Pack is a great way of welcoming people into their new home while simultaneously encouraging them to consider using sustainable means of getting around.”
Wherever possible we source our bricks from the UK.
Linden Homes has contributed over £1.2 million to health care services in the UK since 2010.
