Getting the perfect rise at charity ‘Bake-off’ event

Fundraisers: Linden Homes’ Janice Browne and Sam Boylan with sales director Chris Roads

Fundraisers: Linden Homes’ Janice Browne and Sam Boylan with sales director Chris Roads

Inspired by the Great British Bake Off, wannabe Mary Berrys and Paul Hollywoods from our Midlands region cooked up some smashing sponges and perfect pastries of their own.

Colleagues from the team’s head office in Peterborough sold their cakes and bakes in support of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, boosting Macmillan Cancer Care coffers.

Staff tucked in to a range of sweet treats provided by star bakers at the Orton Southgate office – including Janice Browne, Sam Boylan and Mikaela Chesher – helping to raise £90 for the good cause.

Coffee morning organiser Janice said: “It was a really enjoyable morning and our huge thanks to all the staff who supported the event.”

Our Midlands region are no strangers to fundraising, having raised in the past 12 months several thousand pounds for the Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall hospice appeal in Peterborough, £5,000 for the East of England CYP Diabetes Network, and £1,500 for the Dreamflight charity.
