Fun and games at the Bedhampton Summer Show

Event: a band entertains the crowds at last year’s sunny Bedhampton Summer Show

Event: a band entertains the crowds at last year’s sunny Bedhampton Summer Show

We’re one of the sponsors for the hugely popular annual Bedhampton Summer Show in Hampshire.

The free event near Havant, which this year is on Saturday July 5th, raises money for the upkeep of the local St Thomas and St Nicholas churches and involves an entertaining array of stalls, activities and attractions.

It’s one of the biggest community dates on the area’s calendar and has run for several decades. For 2014 it will be opened by the mayor of Havant and host a performance by the Portsmouth City Band.

Attractions will include sideshows, stalls and arena events including children’s fancy dress and novelty races. There will also be a fun dog show, a tug of war and a teddy bears’ picnic with a prize for the best dressed!

Linden Homes Southern managing director Brendon O’Neill said: “The Bedhampton Summer Show is a really fun community event and raises important funding for St Thomas and St Nicholas.

“We’re very keen to do our bit to help local people. Building new homes is more than just bricks and mortar, it’s about strong neighbourhoods too.”
