Our flagship Graylingwell Park development near Chichester has earned its place on a prestigious list of the top 100 regeneration projects in the country.
Linden Homes Guildford is one of the key players working on what is the largest carbon-neutral development in the country, alongside partners Affinity Sutton Group Ltd and the Homes and Communities Agency.
The 750-home Graylingwell Park project features its own energy centre to provide heat and hot water, 1,812 square metres of solar panels, an off-site wind turbine and comprehensive home insulation to balance its carbon footprint to a net zero.
It was ranked number 60 in ‘Planning’ magazine’s list measured by investment for its £293 million value. It noted development progress at the former hospital site and the anticipated creation of 100 jobs.
Linden Homes Guildford managing director Peter Youll said: “Our groundbreaking aim to create a major zero-carbon development has already caught the attention and won awards, so we and our partners are very proud to have been recognised again in the Top 100.
“Our willingness to make significant investment in the environment and the community is showcased by this development and reflects our philosophy not just in this region but across the country.”
Linden Homes has contributed over £12.8 million towards outdoor open areas throughout the UK since 2010.
The blocks we use to build your home are the most energy efficient available and 80% of material within the blocks is recycled material - this saves heat loss from our homes and thus reduces CO2 emissions.
