Safe and sound: Linden Homes Midlands chipped in £2,000 to help reposition the first tee
When our Midlands region demolished some ugly old industrial buildings next to a golf course to replace them with quality homes we also had to solve the problem of the odd wayward shot!
The factory structures that used to be there had acted as a barrier to errant balls coming off the tee in the wrong direction towards the edge of the first hole at Carholme Golf Club, in Lincoln.
So when we started work on the superb collection of two, three and four-bedroom houses at the new Oasis development we teamed up with the club to move the tee, change the angles and solve the problem.
We chipped in £2,000 to make it happen and greatly reduce the chances of golf balls going anywhere near the new properties.
Linden Homes Midlands managing director Chris Bond said: “The green and open view of the golf course next to Oasis is one of the development’s charms, and our work with the club means residents can enjoy it without worrying about a ball landing in their garden!
“We take great pride in how we work closely with communities to solve problems – including unusual ones like this. For us, it’s all about investing time and money into coming up with solutions that really make a difference.”
