Pretty pink nail polish and fluffy cupcakes were the unusual order of the day at our popular development of Orchid in Oakham, Rutland.
It turned out staff were getting involved in the Wear It Pink campaign to boost funds for Breast Cancer Awareness month which ran during October.
Site manager Paul Mott proved to be a real sport when he received a mini makeover from trainee site manager Natalie Armstrong – and was rewarded with a delicious cupcake topped with pink icing!
The tasty treats were sold on site, as well as at Linden Homes Midlands’ Peterborough head office, where pink-wearing staff helped to raise around even more towards the campaign.
Linden Homes sales administrator Bev Bray, who helped to co-ordinate the fundraising, said: “Thanks to all our staff and supporters who entered into the spirit of things. We had great fun raising money for such a worthy cause.”
