We won national recognition for our green credentials when we claimed the Developer of the Year title at the New Energy and Cleantech Awards.
We picked up the prestigious prize at a ceremony in front of an audience of 300 at the Park Plaza Victoria hotel in London on Wednesday April 30th.
The New Energy and Cleantech Awards are in their seventh year and reward those who are central to shaping the green energy and clean technology industries. We received several nominations for the award.
Credit went to our continued commitment to building sustainable and environmentally friendly developments in the UK, as well as important design decisions such as constructing on brownfield sites, introducing carbon reduction targets and displaying a commitment to addressing climate change.
The example of one of our flagship developments, Graylingwell Park in Chichester, was singled out. It is set to be the biggest zero-carbon development in Britain, and the awards said: “The scheme was lauded by the judges for being both ambitious and replicable."
Linden Homes Group managing director Andrew Richards said: “We are proud to receive this award in light of our many efforts to deliver sustainable developments and our firm commitment to cut carbon and reduce waste to landfill across the group.”
Linden Homes has contributed over £12.8 million towards outdoor open areas throughout the UK since 2010.
