Our construction team working on the Fernley Park development in Uckfield, East Sussex, has been hailed “exceptionally considerate”.
The workers were rated under the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) on their thoughtful attitude towards residents and wildlife, being respectful and accountable, smartness of the site, and health and safety.
Linden Homes Guildford is currently building a stunning collection of homes on the edge of Uckfield, and was given the top rating after scoring 36 out of a possible 40 points. Five other of its sites in the region were rated “very considerate”.
The CCS scheme is an industry initiative to encourage its member companies to try to lessen the impact during construction on the surrounding communities and environment.
Linden Homes Guildford managing director Peter Youll said: “These ratings are a good, professional result and show how seriously we take our duties of causing as little inconvenience as possible and considering the environment and community.
“But most of all I’m glad for the people who live near the developments who can get on with their daily life without the problems that used to be associated with the old-fashioned type of building site that we’re successfully putting in the past.”
Over £133m has been committed by Linden Homes to improving local communities since 2010.
The blocks we use to build your home are the most energy efficient available and 80% of material within the blocks is recycled material - this saves heat loss from our homes and thus reduces CO2 emissions.
