Construction is built into the timetable for pupils

Class: Linden Homes’ Paul Mott and Dawn Bailey at The Limes development with visiting pupils

Youngsters got kitted out in hi-vis vests and hard hats when building landed on the timetable in the form of a visit to our new The Limes development in Sapcote, Leicestershire.

Our Midlands region gave around 50 pupils from All Saints C of E Primary School an insight into the construction industry, including the chance to see construction vehicles in action.

The Years 3 and 4 pupils and their teachers were also able to chat to staff on the production and sales side to find out more about the process of building and buying a new home.

Teacher Sally Wagg said: “Our thanks to Linden Homes for arranging the visit which we all enjoyed very much, the children enjoyed the chance to see these things happening in ‘real time’.”

Linden Homes Midlands area sales manager Bev Bray explained: “Whenever we start to build in a new area, we are very keen to get involved in the local community – and are delighted the school accepted our invitation to come and have a look around the development.

“They are the house buying generation of the future, and we hope they had an enjoyable visit.”
