Open: The Right Worshipful the Lord Mayor of Exeter, Cllr Rachel Lyons, cuts the show home ribbon
A gathering of VIPs attended the announcement of our South West region’s charity of the year at City Glade, a new development Exeter.
The Right Worshipful the Lord Mayor of Exeter, Cllr Rachel Lyons, rubbed shoulders with business leaders at the sales and marketing suite where Children’s Hospice South West was unveiled as the good cause we’re supporting in 2013.
Children’s Hospice South West was founded in 1991 and now runs three hospices across the region caring for youngsters with life-limiting illnesses and supporting their families.
The event on June 7th also gave local traders the chance to see for themselves the two beautiful show homes and enjoy a guided tour of the development in progress.
City Glade will comprise 58 privately owned new three and four-bedroom homes, as well as an area of open space for local residents to enjoy.
Linden Homes South West managing director Nigel Palmer said: “Children’s Hospice South West does excellent work across the region and is a real community-centred organisation. It’s a neighbourhood ethos we share and we’re delighted to give it our support.”
