Representatives from the business community gave the thumbs up after joining a special tour of our new development in St Albans.
The managing director of Linden Homes Chiltern, Darren Maddox, welcomed the president of the town’s chamber of commerce, Peter Goodman, and its manager, Lisa Bates, to show them round the 150-home King Harry Park scheme.
They joined a group of other community leaders such as Prae Wood Primary School headteacher Jackie Stephenson and several local councillors as they looked at some of the quality homes for which even early on more than 2,000 people had registered their interest to view.
Afterwards, Mrs Bates wrote in local newspaper the Herts Advertiser that she and Mr Goodman had both been “impressed by the quality”, and welcomed the addition of affordable homes into the community, as well as the easing of traffic congestion.
Mr Maddox said: “It was a pleasure to show the community round and attract such a positive response. After earlier opening up the site to residents and hearing compliments from them too, I’m very happy with how this attractive development has been received.
“It is central to the way Linden Homes provides quality houses, as an industry leader, that we involve local residents at every stage of the development so they have input and feel the new dwellings are very much a benefit to their neighbourhood.”
The benefits of buying new make the choice easy. Here are just a few:
