With a wish list that would impress Santa, organisers of a well-used Leicestershire youth service have received a festive boost to support ambitious growth plans.
Blaby & Whetsone Youth Club is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and organisers at the facility are well into their renovation project to mark the milestone. It already provides 24 football teams, a youth club and more than 450 members.
Working towards a £675,000 target to help develop the club into a community hub and refurbish the existing building and grounds, the organisation has received a £250 donation from our Midlands region.
The company has announced plans to build 84 two, three and four-bedroom homes at the Trinity Brook development in the village.
Lauren Withers, development officer at the rebranded The Activity Centre, said: “This is a very exciting time for us and we are delighted that Linden Homes has shared the vision we have to develop this centre for existing young people and others which may move into the village as part of the new homes on sale.”
Chris Roads, Linden Homes Midlands sales director, added: “This is such an exciting and worthy cause, which has the backing and support of so many dedicated people serving the community, that we are delighted to be able to help in some way.”
Linden Homes has contributed over £12.8 million towards outdoor open areas throughout the UK since 2010.
Our insulation process includes blowing insulation into cavity walls, which means our homes are better insulated because there are less air gaps.
