Donation: Linden Homes Guildford managing director Peter Youll (left) was at the funds presentation
A charity for disabled youngsters received a £11,500 cheque thanks to a fundraising property prize-giving night co-sponsored by our Guildford region.
The money was donated to the town’s branch of Disability Challengers by Richard Prynne, chairman of the West Surrey Association of Surveyors, Auctioneers and Estate Agents (WSA), which organises the annual Surrey Property Awards.
The charity delivers inclusive play activities for disabled children and young people across Surrey, Hampshire and beyond.
There were 400 people at the black tie ceremony which was co-hosted by TV Presenter Bill Turnbull.
Richard Prynne, the WSA Chairman, said in his welcome speech that he did not believe there was anywhere else in the country where competing agents and property professionals could come together to celebrate one another’s success in such a rewarding way.
Linden Homes Guildford’s Managing Director, Peter Youll added: “This event just gets better and bigger every year and it’s a great opportunity for everyone involved to fly the flag for the property industry.
“I am very proud that Linden Homes sponsors such a prestigious occasion, particularly as the funds raised on the night always go to a very deserving charity.”
