We’re supporting artists in Bristol by providing a free base at a development where we’ve rejuvenated a derelict building.
The historic Purifier House is a listed structure in the city’s stunning dockside area, our western region has transformed it into apartments, shops and restaurants to become a true local landmark.
The homes have sold out but while the commercial units are actively marketed, we have invited Antlers Gallery to take up residence in one of them until June. It keeps the space active, fits with the area’s cultural character and lets talented artists show off their work.
Antlers is a “nomadic” gallery which displays works at differing locations to represent a select group of contemporary artists who explore natural history, narrative and folklore.
Linden Homes Western managing director Clive Wiltshire said: “Bristolis a thriving cultural hub so helping artists display their works to the public in this way makes perfect sense and we’re very happy to support them.
“We’re proud of the transformation we’ve achieved at Purifier House, bringing it back to life for residents and businesses. But at Linden Homes we understand we have to go beyond the bricks and mortar and get involved with local people too.”
