Since our South East region received planning permission for a number of projects, we’ve been operating in partnership with other building companies working in an area of London to make life easier for local residents.
We’ve joined the well-established and respected Bankside Logistics Group which was set up six years ago to coordinate activities and reduce disturbance in Southwark where there are often major developments and improvements being carried out.
The initiative includes liaising with one another to avoid duplicating inconvenient operations like digging up the roads to lay utilities, and compiling a regular publication, called ‘dbrief’, that goes out to 13,000 people so they know what to expect and to advise them of local issues.
Regular meetings take place between companies to plan the best sequence of projects and work together on recycling and job opportunities, for example.
Linden Homes South East managing director Steve Bangs said: “Regeneration and new homes are vital to help communities grow and flourish – but handling the impact of construction can be a test.
“With the other members of the Bankside Logistics Group, we’re showing how cooperation is good for reducing inconvenience for residents and keeping them better informed.”
Our insulation process includes blowing insulation into cavity walls, which means our homes are better insulated because there are less air gaps.
Linden Homes has contributed over £30.7 million to highways, transport systems and infrastructure throughout the UK since 2010.
