Staff get festive to raise money for a worthy cause

Christmas cakes: our South West office raised £200 for a children’s hospice charity

Christmas cakes: our South West office raised £200 for a children’s hospice charity

Staff at our South West region’s Newton Abbot head office sported Christmas jumpers and held a bake sale to raise money for Children’s Hospice South West.

Festive fairy cupcakes, orange and cinnamon mince pies, lemon drizzle cake, an array of Christmas biscuits and fresh cream and strawberry cakes helped staff to keep warm at this cold time of year.

Linden Homes South West managing director Nigel Palmer said: “We’ve all been doing our bit, whether it’s been making mince pies or buying them and it’s felt very festive in the office.

“Children’s Hospice South West is a fantastic charity and even our £200 has helped their worthwhile cause.”

Children’s Hospice South West – which is our South West region’s charity of the year – has three hospices near St Austell, Barnstaple and Bristol.

The hospices are open to families with children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and help to build precious memories and offer much-needed support. For more information on Children’s Hospice South West and its important work visit www.chsw.org.uk.
