Our Midlands region threw down the gauntlet to Oundle Town Cricket Club in Northamptonshire to run up some funds in a charity match.
We’ve sponsored the club for the last seven years and our latest link-up was to organise a friendly game in aid of the Sue Ryder Appeal, launched earlier this year to raise £6 million to transform the Thorpe Hall hospice in Peterborough.
Our players pitted their skills against players from the youth and senior sections of the club, helping to raise £300, including a dress-down day at our Peterborough office.
As well as being for a good cause, the match also celebrated the launch of our new local homes at the fantastic Aspire development at Warmington.
More events are being planned for Sue Ryder Appeal over the coming weeks, including a charity golf day involving our staff and contractors.
Linden Homes Midlands managing director Chris Bond said: “Both sides had a great time and played in a fine, friendly spirit. Getting involved with local people and supporting community groups is what our philosophy is all about.”
Every piece of timber in your house is sustainably sourced timber. This means that new trees are planted to replace those cut down.
All of our homes come with Smart Meters. These have the capacity to automatically send readings to your energy provider.
