Builders don’t always have a reputation for being considerate, but we’re pleased to have changed this misconception at one of our new homes developments in Devon.
Our South West region’s efforts at The Copse, in East Ogwell, have won us a silver national site award in the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) National Site Awards 2014.
The CCS commits member developers to be considerate and good neighbours, as well as clean, respectful, safe, environmentally conscious, responsible and accountable.
Robin Palmer, our senior site manager, has worked tirelessly with assistant site manager Mike Pugh and his team to ensure The Copse meets the scheme’s high standards.
Winning a national site award is an exceptional achievement, and recognises those sites that have made the greatest contribution towards improving the image of construction.
Linden Homes South West managing director Nigel Palmer said: “At Linden Homes we have always endeavoured to work in a considerate, clean and safe environment so it seemed logical to do this formally by joining the voluntary scheme.
“We are absolutely thrilled that we’ve won an award and that’s testament to Robin, Mike and the team’s hard work and commitment.
“I commend the Considerate Constructors Scheme and their work to encourage and recognise those businesses that are ‘best in class’.”
All of our floor joists are made in the UK using a carbon negative process and sustainably sourced timber.
Linden Homes has contributed over £1.2 million to health care services in the UK since 2010.
