Office’s Red Nose Day beats fundraising target

Spot on: the Guildford team’s Sam Inman attempting to pin the red nose on MD Peter Youll’s face

Our Guildford team smashed its fundraising target on Red Nose Day by more than doubling the previous amount.

Through donations, fun activities and a cake sale, the team raised £288.10 – which was matched by Linden Homes to bring the final total to £576.20 for Comic Relief’s projects in the UK and around the world.

Staff collected money by wearing red for the day, playing games such as Pin the Nose on Peter (a photo of our managing director Peter Youll) and guessing team/celebrity lookalikes. Cupcakes were on sale, plus 10-minute shoulder massages.

Sindy Harding won Pin the Nose on Peter, and Chiara Chalmers took the prize for the Linden Homes Guildford staff lookalike competition.

The next fundraising event will be the Great Linden Homes Guildford Easter Bake Off on April 2nd when money will go towards the region’s nominated charity, the Royal Marsden Hospital.

Linden Homes Guildford managing director Peter Youll said: “We set out to double our last total and the team has smashed that. We’re very pleased with the amount we’ll be contributing to Comic Relief – it’s a great cause that does great work.”
