Nearly £150 was raised when our Guildford office competed in an Easter bake-off in aid of two local good causes.
The challenge was to bake the best Easter nest cake and nearly a dozen bakers got busy to make their creations to submit for judging on April 2nd.
The good causes to benefit were our Guildford region’s charities of the year: the Royal Marsden, a specialist cancer treatment hospital in London, and the Emily Ash Trust, which works to improve the lives of children and young people suffering with cancer.
The judge was Richard Godkin, Linden Homes Guildford financial director, who awarded first prize to Elizabeth North, who works as PA to managing director Peter Youll.
Peter said: “It was a fantastic team effort to get so many entries and they all looked delicious. It was great fun to bake them and just as good to eat them afterwards – and all for two very deserving local causes.”
Linden Homes has won awards for Best Sustainable Developer four years in a row.
