Our Southern region has gone all out to raise thousands of pounds for charities in recent years: car washing, cake-baking and even skydiving.
For example, the office broke its £10,000 target by collecting more than £11,180 in two years for the Red and White Appeal’s efforts to create a top transplant treatment centre Southampton General Hospital for patients across the south.
We energetically raised money by braving a sky dive, completing a London to Paris bicycle ride, paying for dress down days, car washing, raffles, lunches, cake baking, an auction – and much more.
For instance, the region donated £1,000 to Samuel’s Fund to help pay for a young Portsmouth boy with cerebral palsy undergo an operation in American to enable him to lead a more active lifestyle.
It goes on: the Rainbow Centre’s crisis appeal received £1,000 from dress down days and an auction, another dress down day raised £60 for Genes for Jeans Day, raffle tickets garnered £100 for Wessex Heartbeat and a mix of activities sent £152 to Breast Cancer Awareness.
Linden Homes Southern managing director Brendon O’Neill said: “No home is complete without a thriving neighbourhood so getting involved in the community and local good causes is at the centre of our housebuilding philosophy.”
Wherever possible the appliances fitted in our homes are ‘A Rated’ or higher for energy performance.
Our insulation process includes blowing insulation into cavity walls, which means our homes are better insulated because there are less air gaps.
