New season starts with new kit for footballing youngsters

Support: under-8s Gunthorpe Harriers players cheered on by Linden Homes sales executive Alex Buttle

Support: under-8s Gunthorpe Harriers players cheered on by Linden Homes sales executive Alex Buttle

A brand new football season brought a brand new kit for a team of youngsters in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, thanks to our Midlands region.

We’ve sponsored Gunthorpe Harriers Football Club’s under-8s side, which is managed by FA licensed coach Darren Wright who lives in one of the new homes at our nearby Burghfield Place development.

The kit includes shirt, shorts and socks, as well as tracksuits and waterproof jackets and will help Gunthorpe Harriers FC celebrate its 25th anniversary next year. The club currently runs seven sides in the Peterborough and District Junior Alliance League.

Darren said: “I am really grateful to Linden Homes for their generous sponsorship which will allow us to not only look the part on the pitch, but raise the profile of the club and Linden Homes.”

We took our support even further when sales executive Alex Buttle cheered on the team during a recent weekend home game.

Our sponsorship is part of our commitment to supporting the local communities where we build. In Gunthorpe we’re delivering homes at Burghfield Place and also White Willows.
