Music festival support runs to the tune of £1,500

Music: Staycation Live in Godalming is raising money for local disabled children’s charity

We’re supporting a fundraising music event held annually in Godalming, Surrey, to the tune of £1,500.

Staycation Live is a free music and arts festival on August 2nd and 3rd. It’s run for the last four years in association with the town council as part of its two-week programme of events for local people during the summer.

Diverse acts taking to the bandstand in the beautiful Philips Memorial Park will include Sheelanagig, Boycom and Alternative Dubstep Orchestra. An ever growing list of evening stages will carry the music on in town into the early hours.

Sponsorship from our Guildford region will help pay for vital elements of such a popular event including security, first aid, health and safety, volunteer staff expenses and producing banners.

This year Staycation Live is raising money for local charity Challengers which provides play and leisure for disabled children and young people across Surrey.

Linden Homes Guildford sales and marketing director Natalie Flint said: “The homes we’ve built in Godalming at our Riverside development have been very popular, so we feel part of the community. We’re delighted to give our support to Staycation Live. It’s going to be great.”
