Matching buyers’ kind donations to the Children’s Trust

A cheque for £1,600 has been presented to a children’s charity in Surrey after donations from generous property-buyers were matched by our Guildford region.

Every customer in the area during 2013 was given the chance to add a £50 gift to the Children’s Trust when they bought their dream home – an invitation which succeeded in garnering £800. We matched that kindness to double the total.

The Surrey-based Children’s Trust Tadworth provides residential care and therapy for youngsters from all over the UK with complex health needs and degenerative conditions, plus a rehabilitation service for children with an acquired brain injury.

Katie Roberts, Head of Voluntary Fundraising at The Children’s Trust, said: “A huge thank you to Linden Homes but also to their amazing customer’s for making these generous donations.

“This money means we can help children with brain injury from across the UK in their journey of recovery.”

The buyers’ donation scheme is continuing during 2014 so another charitable group will be receiving another cheque in a year’s time.

Linden Homes Guildford managing director, Peter Youll, said: “We are very grateful to our customers for their generosity in supporting one of our local good causes. The Children’s Trust does amazing work.”
