Children from Yarborough Primary School in Grimsby were treated to an extra-curricular lesson when housebuilding appeared on their timetable.
Ninety youngsters and their teachers were kitted out in high visibility vests and hard hats after receiving a special invitation from Linden Homes North to visit Freshney Green and see just what goes into constructing a new housing development.
Three groups of children dropped by as a pre-half term treat and benefitted from expert guidance from Linden Homes site manager John Grest and sales executive Alex Rymer.
John said: “We held a series of visits for the children, who really seemed to enjoy getting kitted out in the safety wear and finding out a little about the development many of them see from a distance day in, day out – and what goes in to building new homes.
“Linden Homes has a longstanding partnership with the school, and it is always our pleasure to offer our assistance and raise our profile within the community when we have such a great opportunity as this.”
Linden Homes has contributed over £30.7 million to highways, transport systems and infrastructure throughout the UK since 2010.
