We helped a community festival curated by British director Danny Boyle get off the ground at a site in London where our Eastern region is trailblazing a new form of community development.
We co-sponsored the Winter Shuffle at the Grade II listed St Clement's Hospital site in Mile End, Tower Hamlets, which featured free nightly films, kids and family weekend matinees, traditional Christmas classics and offbeat cult hits.
What’s special about this project is that our Eastern region is working with the Greater London Assembly and the East London Community Land Trust to deliver a community focused housing development that creates a new heart to the area.
It will transform the land into a bustling new neighbourhood of 252 homes with community facilities, café/restaurant and high quality public space. It’s had the backing of London mayor Boris Johnson and will open space that’s long been closed off to the public.
Linden Homes Eastern’s managing director, Adrian Bohr, said: “The Winter Shuffle is exactly the kind of lively and exciting event that exemplifies what the project is trying to achieve at St Clements.
“With the help of local people we’re planning to deliver not just homes but a truly sustainable and attractive place to live. It’s a new way of developing land that fits with our community-spirited principles at Linden Homes.”
The boilers heating our houses are some of the most efficient available, saving you money and minimising CO2 emissions.
Linden Homes has contributed over £12.8 million towards outdoor open areas throughout the UK since 2010.
