We joined in efforts to find a Lincoln Scout group a safe place to store their equipment after their old facilities had to be demolished.
The youngsters of 30th Lincoln 1st Bassingham Scout Group needed a replacement at their headquarters in Bassingham, near Brant Broughton. It’s close to our Midlands region’s Oasis development – which sparked a handy solution.
With the help of Focus Consultants, which has been working with us at Oasis, we provided a 20-foot metal storage container so the Scouts now have somewhere secure and dry to stow their gear.
Bassingham Chief Scout Leader Alison Kelly said: “As a charity we are always looking to find new ways of funding equipment and activities for the children because without funding and volunteers we could not function; and it is times like this we really appreciate the generosity and thoughtfulness of people such as Linden Homes and Focus Consultants.”
Linden Homes site manager Jon Blanchard added: “We were only too pleased to help out with this as it fits in with our community engagement work we do as part of the Considerate Constructors Scheme where we are always looking at how we can go the extra mile.”
Senior building surveyor Darren Booker, from Focus Consultants, said: “As funding and building consultants we always strive to find new ways of helping projects succeed and are very pleased to help, especially when the local community benefits.”
Every piece of timber in your house is sustainably sourced timber. This means that new trees are planted to replace those cut down.
Our insulation process includes blowing insulation into cavity walls, which means our homes are better insulated because there are less air gaps.
