A team of employees from our Guildford region got on their bikes to cycle from London to Brighton and raised £1,000 in aid of the British Heart Foundation.
The six cyclists joined the 27,000 others who started the 54-mile route at about 7.45am and reached the coast early in the afternoon after battling steep hills, on-the-go repairs and busy traffic.
Taking part from Linden Homes were Terry Elliott, David Evans, David Desson, Jamie Green, Paul McKeown, and Robin Pearmain. They were kitted out with team-branded T-shirts provided free by Aldershot-based Reade Signs.
Terry organised the team and said: “All in all everyone enjoyed the day – the good weather was a bonus – so much so that we were planning next year’s ride just after we crossed the finishing line. There was a great team spirit and a few laughs along the way.”
Linden Homes Guildford managing director Peter Youll said: “Congratulations to Linden Homes’ riders for raising so much for such a good cause and completing a gruelling challenge. The whole office chipped in so it really was a team effort.”
We only use composite front doors which are insulated to lessen heat loss from our homes.
Every piece of timber in your house is sustainably sourced timber. This means that new trees are planted to replace those cut down.
