Foodies are in for a treat as two neighbouring towns host a pair of mouth-watering festivals, with a little help for the second year running from our Thames Valley region.

We’re one of the main sponsors giving valuable financial support for the Fairford and Lechdale food and drink festivals which attract visitors from miles around to sample traditional Cotswolds fare.

The first, in Fairford, was held on Sunday May 11th and as well as an array of stalls showcasing a delicious menu of tasty treats, the Ukey D’Ukes Ukulele Band kept the crowds entertained. It even received a visit from TV adventurer Ben Fogle and his family.

Fairford’s festival will be followed by its sister event in nearby Lechdale on Sunday June 8th when popular local band The Riverfolk will provide the musical backing.

Chris Roberts, organiser for the Fairford and Lechlade Business Club, said: “The Fairford and Lechlade food and drink festivals are great community events.

“Not only are the Food Festivals a great day out for all the family, they also support local businesses and showcase the fabulous array of food and drink that can be obtained locally in this corner of the Cotswolds.

“The business club is extremely grateful to Linden Homes for believing in the event and sponsoring it for the second year running.”
