Our Midlands region is happily stumping up sponsorship for the seventh year in a row for the youth section of Oundle Town Cricket Club in Northamptonshire.
Budding Pietersens and Cooks are getting a sporting chance to develop their passion for cricket thanks for the funding, which first began back in 2006.
Hundreds of cricket shirts have been sponsored for the club, which was established in 1826, and proudly worn by cricket-mad youngsters in Oundle at training sessions and at the many home and away matches.
The club currently sees around 150 five to nine-year-olds on a weekly basis for training, plus 100 older children aged 11-17 who play in the seven junior league teams.
Linden Homes Midlands area sales manager Warren O’Callaghan said: “We are delighted to be able to offer this continued sponsorship to Oundle Town Cricket Club – not only in support of the local community, but to encourage and recognise young sporting talent and potential stars of the future.”
Club chairman Justin Jeffrey said: “The support for the club from local people, and our neighbours Oundle School – from which the club rents its ground on a long term basis - is phenomenal. We are thrilled to have continued generous support from Linden Homes which will allow the club to carry on its great work.”
