Our West Midlands region has launched its first food donation appeal with a collection point at our Erdington-based development, The Pines.
The selection of new homes is next door to the well-established youth homelessness charity St Basils, for which we’ll be accepting donations of non-perishable food over the next four months in preparation for handing them over in time for Christmas.
St Basils relies on food donations throughout the year for the 100-plus young people aged 16-25 that it serves.
Anita Hemmings, from the charity, said: “Without organisations like Linden we could not support our young people and we hope that local people and the residents of The Pines will give generously.”
Linda Huntingdon, sales manager for Linden Homes West Midlands, added: “We try to give back as much as we can in the communities in which we build and because St Basils is so close to our development we thought it would be a great way to lend a hand.”
To find out more about donating please visit The Pines at Abbey Fields, Wilmot Drive, Erdington, B23 5TS, open 10am-5pm, Thursday-Monday, or call 0844 417 4645. This call will cost you 7p per minute plus your phone company’s access charge.
Our insulation process includes blowing insulation into cavity walls, which means our homes are better insulated because there are less air gaps.
Over £133m has been committed by Linden Homes to improving local communities since 2010.
