Radstock has a vibrant community with many local groups and societies that contribute to its colourful culture. Central to this is Victoria Hall, the community arts centre which plays host to a range of dancing, singing and art organisations. The centre gives locals the opportunity to see performances, films and exhibitions and to participate in creative workshops.

Radstock Museum is housed in the old market hall and displays a selection of permanent and temporary hands-on exhibits that focus on the town’s industrial heritage. Radstock Memorial Park also pays homage to the town’s mining and railway past and features an old pit winding wheel, now the Miner’s Memorial.

The High Street is overflowing with independent stores run by the locals for the locals. Daily requirements will easily catered for with cafes, a bakery, butcher, hairdressers and a florist, chemist, pet shop and a hardware store. A local library, healthcare centre, children’s centre and a good selection of schools all serve this wellrounded community.

Your gateway to Somerset

Radstock is located in the north-east of somerset and close to the border with neighbouring Wiltshire. The enchanting city of Bath is around a 20 minute drive away and central Bristol is 17 miles away, a journey of well under 40 minutes.

The nearest railway stations are at Frome and Bath Spa with direct First Great Western services to varied destinations including London Paddington, Gloucester, Weymouth and Cardiff.

Bristol Airport is an easy 20 mile drive and provides the perfect departure point for many European destinations as well as direct flights to Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle.

Radstock lies on the A362 which links Warminster to Frome and joins the A37 at Farrington Gurney. The A367 also runs through Radstock and provides a direct route into Bath where it joins the A4 for Chippenham or onwards to the M4. Head north to Bristol on the A37 to take advantage of the comprehensive motorway connections between the M5, M4, M32 and M48.
