Sonning Common is a peaceful rural community, with a good selection of everyday amenities and services located just a short walk from home. You will find a good-sized Co-op supermarket, a newsagent, post office, library, pharmacy, a small number of independent shops, pubs and a hugely popular restaurant owned by respected TV chef, Antony Worrall Thompson.

As well as the green open space all around you, there are other opportunities to get out and enjoy the great outdoors.

A short drive away is the National Trust’s Greys Court, a Tudor country house that dates back to the mid-13th century. And for those who enjoy a round or two of golf, you will find Sonning Grove is ideally located for a number of golf courses. There are two within a few miles of the development - Greys Green and Badgemore Park - both offering 18-hole courses.

The other benefit of choosing Sonning Grove as your new home is that the popular town of Reading is just 6 miles away, with its range of shops, attractive gardens, a theatre, leisure facilities and museums.

The Oracle Shopping Centre and the Broad Street Mall both have a vast range of high street brands and independent names, as well as large department stores. Socialising is simple here too, thanks to the great choice of places to eat and drink; restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs are in abundance in the centre of town. Away from the shops and eateries, there is Forbury Gardens and Reading Museum to explore, while for live entertainment, The Hexagon Theatre and Sub89 are the places to head to.
