What’s close to Gainsborough?

St Marks Shopping Centre is home to a wide range of high street shops, a gym and chain restaurants and coffee outlets. The area beyond the shopping centre is where you’ll find other shops and places to eat, as well as galleries, museums and the 12th century Cathedral and 11th century castle.

At 41 miles away, you’ll be able to experience all that Sheffield has to offer. There are plenty of opportunities for entertainment and leisure, with theatres, music venues, museums and galleries to enjoy. Shops are in abundance here too, with high street brands, department stores and boutique shops throughout the city. This is also the place for football fans, as there are two football teams here; Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday.

If you want to get some space away from the bustle of town for a little while, the Lincolnshire Wolds AONB is 29 miles away from Mowbray Fields. An area of 560 km², the range of hills here offer some of the most unspoilt scenery in the East Midlands. This is working landscape, with woodland, grassland and habitats for wildlife, birds and rare flowers.
