Opened in 1938, RAF Little Rissington - known to all as Little Rissi - became a vital Flying Training School and Maintenance Unit during WWII. The airbase was the training ground for thousands of pilots, 705 of which received gallantry awards, and four the Victoria Cross. Since the War, Little Rissington has been the home of the Red Arrows and was the largest military contingency hospital in Europe during the Gulf War.
In a new era for this now decommissioned airbase, Linden Homes are proud to be creating Victory Fields, which will bring new homes, and enhance education, shopping and leisure opportunities for the local community.
Set on a hilltop location and surrounded by open countryside, Victory Fields has all the makings of a thriving and well-served new community, now with some stunning new houses for sale.
Upper Rissington will see more than 350 homes created around a new village square that will include a local shop, a proposed public house, gym and nursery. A primary school has been built in this beautiful and peaceful location that is perfect for growing families. The new community hall is a great venue for gatherings and other community activities.
In the mature landscaped grounds residents can stroll around wildlife ponds. There will also be play areas for children, and fantastic new playing fields and tennis courts for the sports enthusiasts.
Victory Fields combines the delights of living in a peaceful, unspoilt countryside location with the convenience of local village life, making it an idyllic location for new homes. Upper Rissington is a real rural escape, but with good connections to allow easy commuting.
