With abounding history and in a beautiful waterside setting, the houses for sale in Tewkesbury offer something for everyone. Whether you want to just take in the stunning scenery by foot or by boat along the River Avon, admire the historic attractions, enjoy one of the year-round festivals and events or indulge in the food and drink on offer - you can do it all from a new property in Tewkesbury.

In the town centre, you’ll find all the amenities you would expect, including Tesco, Morrisons and Aldi on the outskirts of town. For a bit of retail therapy, Tewkesbury offers both high street favourites and independent boutique stores. There is a twice weekly market in the town, held on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with a Famers’ & Craft Market on the second Saturday of the month between February and December.

There is plenty of choice when it comes to food and drink, with a whole host of restaurants offering everything from authentic Indian cuisine, Italian and European dishes to traditional English and pub food. So, whether you’re after a traditional roast dinner or pizza, you will find a restaurant that caters for every taste.

For keeping fit, head to Tewkesbury Leisure Centre which offers state of the art facilities including a gym, swimming pool, squash courts, indoor climbing wall and much more. There is, of course, the great outdoors to explore too – take in the wildlife at the Nature Reserve or hop on your bike and take the challenge of Bredon Hill or Cleeve Hill for off-road adventuring.

When it comes to entertainment, The Roses Theatre boasts an eclectic mix of live performances, film workshops and exhibitions and has its very own café offering a selection of locally sourced refreshments.

Most notable is Tewkesbury’s historical attractions. Tewkesbury Abbey has been at the centre of the town’s history for centuries and hosts concerts in addition to services, with the Musica Deo Sacra festival held annually every year.
