The largest and most famous seaside resort in Devon, Torquay, is just 5 miles from White Rock. With its iconic palm trees, busy harbour and international marina, the town exudes charm and sophistication and is likened by some to a Mediterranean resort. Torquay is a great place to shop and enjoys a range of world-class restaurants, waterside eateries, pubs, bars, cafés and nightclubs. There are top shows at the Princess Theatre and a huge choice of festivals and events throughout the year. The promenade is ideal for a leisurely stroll, while a gentle climb up the steps of the Royal Terrace Gardens is rewarded with amazing sea views across the bay, especially at night.

When you want a change from town life, you’ll find plenty of picturesque villages where Devonshire cream teas and country pubs are in abundance. A number of attractions can be found, including vineyards, farms and nature and wildlife reserves. Transport & Travel
