Overview

As you may know, Linden Homes has acquired an interest in land south of St Margaret’s Cross, Langham and is currently developing proposals to develop the site.

The Site forms part of a draft allocation within Colchester Borough Council’s emerging Local Plan. In order to provide the community opportunity to view the proposals prior to submission of a detailed planning application, a public exhibition has been organised.

The consultation will be held:
On: Tuesday 20th November 2018
At: Langham Community Centre, CO4 5PA
Between: 4pm and 7:30pm

At the event, members of Linden Homes’ project team will be on hand to discuss the proposals with you and answer any questions that you might have.

Linden Homes’ detailed planning application seeks permission for:

  • An attractive mix of circa 53 new homes, comprising of 2, 3, 4, and 5 bed dwellings.
  • Of the circa 53 homes, 30% are proposed to be classified as affordable throughout the scheme.
  • Landscaping to provide public open space for a ‘village green’ will also be incorporated into the scheme.
    • Landscape buffer along the southern boundary to soften transition to open countryside.
    • Hedgerow to largely be retained except for site access.
