Work Begins At Charlton Marshall
27 Feb 2015

Work has begun on site at Linden Homes’ new development of 21 new two, three and four bedroom homes in the beautiful Dorset village of Charlton Marshall, Blandford. The homes will be officially launched this summer.

To maintain the lovely, rural feel of the location, Linden Homes is working around the original apple orchard so it can be kept as part of the development landscape.

It’s in a pretty, rural village, but Charlton Marshall is still very well connected for Bournemouth, Ringwood and Dorchester. Going south, you reach the coast (Poole is 20 minutes away by car, and Bournemouth 30 minutes away). If you go north on the A350 you reach the M4 connecting you to London, Swindon, Bristol and Wales.

The village has three good primary schools within two miles and it is also just over three miles to The Blandford School, a good secondary school with its own sixth form.

The new homes – which include four bungalows - are being built on the western edge of Charlton Marshall, next to the old Somerset and Dorset railway line, which is now a trail way for walkers and cyclists.

The homes have been designed in a very traditional way and will be arranged in terrace formation: And while they’re traditional on the outside, they will have very contemporary features within, such as bi-fold doors and contemporary, fully fitted kitchens and bathrooms.

Tina Chalk is the marketing manager at Linden Homes Southern:

“These homes are set in an exceptional location. Charlton Marshall is a lovely and lively Dorset village that happens to be within easy reach of Bournemouth, Blandford, Salisbury and Dorchester. Because of this and the fact that they’re award winning Linden Homes, we are expecting demand to be high. You can register with us now, if you think you might be interested in moving to Charlton Marshall. Once we have your details, we can keep you updated with what’s going on. You’ll also be told when new homes are being released. It might also be worth thinking about buying a home off-plan and we can help you through that process.

“There are several advantages to off-plan buying: It can make some aspects of the house buying process easier. You may be able to have the pick of the plots and it might be possible for you to monitor the progress of your new home as it is built. Depending on the stage of build, you may also be able to choose the finish of your bathroom or kitchen, for example. Buying off-plan is certainly worth thinking about.”
