Three New Opportunities To Move To Homes In Hampshire
28 Mar 2014

The county of Hampshire is frequently cited in polls that highlight the most desirable places to live in the UK: In December a Halifax poll mentioned Hampshire twice in its top ten local authority districts: Hart came first and Winchester came ninth out of all the local districts in the UK.

Tina Chalk, marketing manager at Linden Homes Southern, says Hampshire is a county with perennial appeal:

“Because of its popularity, there is always a demand for homes in this lovely county – and Linden Homes is responding to that demand in three new and varied Hampshire locations: We are launching Taylor’s Grange in the village of Sutton Scotney near Winchester; Montague Walk in the town of Bishop’s Waltham and Nightingale Park in Sarisbury Green, on the outskirts of Southampton.”

Each of these, although created by the same developer, will have its own character and style and have been designed to fit in with the surrounding area.

Taylor’s Grange for example, which is situated in the heart of the village of Sutton Scotney, has been designed in a traditional style and will consist of just 13 new homes – including 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom properties. The architecture and landscaping have been carefully planned so these homes blend in with their rural setting.

The village has its own pub, the Coach and Horses, and a well stocked and popular shop and post office. It is also has some extremely good and several ‘outstanding’ schools, both primary and secondary, nearby.

Further south in the county, in Bishop’s Waltham (also near Winchester), Linden Homes is building Montague Walk, a selection of  twenty four new 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom detached and semi-detached homes.

Whereas Sutton Scotney is at the heart of a village, Montague Walk is located on the northern tip of this small Hampshire town, just where the houses finish and the rolling rural landscape begins.

This thriving community has lots of shops, bars and award winning restaurants as well as a local bakery, butcher’s shop and fishmonger’s. It also boasts great schools: Bishop’s Waltham Junior School and Bishop’s Waltham infant school have both been rated as ‘outstanding’ by OFSTED.

Montague Walk, in Bishop’s Waltham and Taylor’s Grange in Sutton Scotney are within easy reach of Winchester, Southampton and Basingstoke, via the M3, A34 and M27.

For those who prefer even easier access to city centre, Linden Homes is building Nightingale Park at Sarisbury Green, a pretty suburb of Southampton which is just 4km from the beautiful river Hamble and within easy reach of both Southampton and Portsmouth.

These homes will include 2, 3 and 4 bedroom houses and some 2 bedroom apartments. They are being built in the grounds of the old Coldeast hospital which closed in the mid 1990’s. Linden Homes will be giving a new lease of life to this old site which lies less than a mile from Swanwick station and also within easy reach of the M27.

All three of the developments have homes available that qualify for the Government’s Help to Buy Scheme*. This scheme has been running for almost a year and it is estimated that already almost 13,000 buyers have taken advantage of this equity loan scheme to help them purchase a new home.
