Third Time Lucky For Popular Basingstoke Development
06 Dec 2017

Linden Homes Thames Valley is proud to present the third phase of homes at its popular Longacre development, situated in the heart of the commuter hotspot of Basingstoke, Hampshire.

As the housebuilder rounds off what has been an impressive 2017 for the Longacre development, the third phase of homes prove to follow suit, with almost half of the homes in the phase already sold or reserved. Two, three, four and five bedroom homes still remain available on the site, which is the flagship for the region and largest development Linden Homes has presented in Hampshire.

As 2017 comes to a close, those making the move to Longacre have the dual advantage of being close to open countryside, perfect for long winter walks, as well as the town centre of Basingstoke – the best of both worlds. Basingstoke boasts an array of amenities including a recently rejuvenated shopping centre, good and outstanding local schools and a leisure centre that includes a swimming pool, bowling alleys and even an indoor skydiving centre.

Recent changes to Stamp Duty legislation, introduced in The Chancellor's Autumn Budget 2017, mean that a proportion of the homes on the Longacre development are available to first time buyers without the added cost of stamp duty. Linden Homes is proud to be offering the Government backed Help to Buy scheme on its Longacre Homes, as well as its own Assisted Move and Part Exchange initiatives – all of which form Linden Homes' ongoing commitment to helping more and more people onto the housing ladder.

Suzanne Irons, Sales and Marketing Director at Linden Homes Thames Valley said: “We are very excited to be launching the third phase of homes on our flagship site in Basingstoke, and anticipate this phase to be snapped up just as quickly as its predecessors. This is a site with something on offer for everyone, with two bedroom homes perfect for first time buyers, to five bedroom family homes perfect for the growing household."

"For those looking to kick-start 2018 with a brand new home in this thriving town, we would recommend getting in touch sooner rather than later, so as to not be disappointed!"

The homes at Longacre can also be bought via Linden Homes’ Assisted Move or Part Exchange schemes.

Assisted Move is a Linden Homes initiative which offers buyers practical assistance when moving into their new home. As part of the initiative, Linden Homes promises to:

  • Deal with the estate agents and pay all their fees, including arranging independent valuations
  • Helps buyers get the best price for their old home
  • Help appoint a solicitor and mortgage broker if required

For an even more hassle free move, buyers can also take advantage of Linden Homes Part Exchange scheme:

  • Buyers choose their new home (current home must not be more than 70% of the value of the chosen home)
  • Linden Homes instructs estate agents, agrees a value for the existing home and makes an offer
  • If the buyer accepts, Linden Homes becomes the cash purchaser, leaving the buyer free to move in when it’s ready
