Now is the time of year when people with a passion for plants and the hots for horticulture start to get bitten by the gardening bug.
And developer Linden Homes North is also entering the spirit of things – with RHS Chelsea Flower Show approaching fast, and keen gardeners gear up for the forthcoming season of local horticultural shows.
Summer wouldn’t be complete without a village horticultural show – and green-fingered residents know how to do things in style in East Yorkshire.
The annual Swanland Show takes place on September 10. Preparations for the event, which invites villagers and others to showcase their talents and skills in gardening, hobby and craft categories, are well under way.
Among this year’s supporters are Linden Homes North, who are main sponsors of the show – and currently building four and five-bedroom homes at the Swanland Gardens development in the village.
Sales manager Julie Hubbard said: “We are thrilled to be lending our support to this well established and popular event. As a part of the local community, we feel it is extremely important to get involved in village life where we can.”

Swanland Gardens is an exclusive 31-home development, which will boast a selection of executive four and five-bedroom homes – a number of which have already been reserved from plan.
