Linden Homes has just welcomed the first resident to its flagship Sherford development, near Plymouth.
Created as part of a consortium, Sherford will see 5,500 classically designed homes built as part of an exciting new town, with a market square, schools, shops, a leisure centre, plus woodland and wildlife habitats.
Eliana Griffiths is a part-time staff nurse at Mount Gould Hospital in Plymouth and is the first lady to live in Sherford. Having lived in Woolwell in Plymouth, Eliana has bought a beautiful three bedroom home. Speaking about the move, she said: “I’m thrilled to be the first resident! I had been looking for a house for a long time and then I discovered Sherford. I fell in love with its style, the homes have such character and although it’s a new development there’s a real sense of heritage about the design. I wanted a home that resembled a cottage but it’s great that I won’t have to do any of the work usually required on an older property – it’s all brand new!”
Originally from Brazil, Eliana moved to the UK in 1994. She added: “I’ve got some space so I’m looking forward to my daughter staying and friends from Brazil visiting. I absolutely love the location, especially as it’s near the beach and is so close to Plymouth. Sherford will have everything I need on my doorstep and I’m excited about being part of a new community; it’s one of the things that most appealed to me.
“I have been impressed with Linden Homes, the sales team have been friendly and helpful from the beginning and they’re almost like family to me now! I can’t wait to see Sherford develop, you can already see how it’s taking shape and to say that I’ve been here from the start is very special.”
