Buying and moving into a brand new home in Bedfordshire is easier than you think.
Imagine cooking for and entertaining friends in a spacious kitchen and dining room, school holiday sleepovers and alfresco dining with the family in a wonderful new home … it could all be yours within a matter of weeks with Linden Homes Midlands.
An Open Weekend at the house builder’s popular Bedfordshire developments takes place this weekend (May 21/22) – where visitors also have the chance of curbing the cost of moving, as well as receiving assistance with selling an existing property.
From 10.30am until 5pm, home hunters visiting the St Andrews at Kings Field and the St Mary’s development in Biddenham, Kaleidoscope at Dunstable or Portfolio at Great Denham can reserve during the weekend – and celebrate summer in their new home.
Those with an existing home to sell can take advantage of the Part Exchange Scheme, where Linden Homes becomes your guaranteed buyer.
Under part exchange, Linden Homes will arrange for at least two independent valuations of your existing home and will make you an offer based on their suggestions.
Once you agree the offer, and subject to satisfactory surveys, Linden Homes becomes your buyer, freeing you up to put in a reservation on your new home.
After that, it's a case of setting a moving-in date, boxing up your things, and basking in the relief of a quick chain-free move to the home of your dreams. You can stay in your existing home until your new one is ready.
Also available is the Help To Buy incentive – which isn’t restricted to first time buyers.
Customers require a minimum five per cent deposit. The government will lend you up to 20 per cent of the value of your property through an equity loan, which can be repaid at any time or on the sale of your home. Buyers will only need to secure up to a 75 per cent mortgage from a bank or building society. The maximum home purchase is £600,000.
Linden Homes Midlands sales director Clare Phillips said: “We’ve got some fabulous homes across Bedfordshire which are ready to move into this summer. The huge benefit is that customers could in some cases move into their new home in as little as four weeks. Our open weekend will allow visitors the chance to not only see what the developments have to offer, but the opportunity to talk to our professionals about the moving options available.”
