Staff engagement, good communication and attracting the best people for the job is Scott Stothard’s mantra for success, as he settles into the top job at Linden Homes West Yorkshire.
As the newly appointed managing director for the growing region, Scott has taken on the role at a time when the region is expanding both geographically, and as a business; with key new appointments in the technical and production departments.
Scott began his journey in the new homes industry in West Yorkshire as an apprentice bricklayer, before progressing to quantity surveying, project and contract management roles and production manager for new homes developers covering Yorkshire and the East Midlands.
Earlier this year he was appointed as the construction director for LHWY, but was soon appointed to the role of managing director – a role he is already relishing.
Scott (pictured) said: “I’ve joined the business at a very exciting and incredibly busy time – with our existing developments in the West and North of the region performing well, and new developments coming on stream shortly.
“I am a firm believer in engaging with the people in your business, making them part of the journey and communicating where you are taking them.
“For Linden Homes, the aim is to build on our sustainability and growth, retain existing and attract new great staff, and ultimately make us the developer of choice in Yorkshire. We will be recognised as the developer building 500+ new homes each year by 2021.”
